For most of us, 2022 is when we come back stronger and with a drive to pursue what we’ve put on hold since the start of the 2020 quarantine. We spent more time within the confines of our households and connected with friends and family through virtual spaces. Yet, in 2022, Legazy® started and ended the year giving the Filipino community incredible Baybayin streetwear products and giving back to the Filipino youth, through Project Pearls.
As the restrictions for events and social gatherings were lifted during the 2nd half of 2022, through the steadfast efforts of Project Pearls, Legazy was able to support the dreams of Filipino scholars under the organization’s multiple programs.
Legazy® remains a brand committed to giving back to the community and making a positive impact on the lives of others. Meanwhile, Project Pearls was founded in 2007 to provide underprivileged children in the Philippines with access to education, healthcare, and basic needs. The organization operates in various communities around the Philippines, particularly, they help the lives of the street children of Tondo, Manila.
As part of our partnership with Project Pearls PH, Legazy Street will be providing financial support to the organization's programs, as well as volunteering our time and resources to help improve the lives of the children in their care.
In fact, during the latter half of 2022, Project Pearls launched various events that special programs for the youth. One of their last events during December, such as the “Adopt-A-Family” and Toy Drive Heroes, allowed Project Pearls’ scholars and their families to receive a bountiful Noche Buena pack and Christmas gifts from amazing donors.
Project Pearls also began the Food for Learning program stretched between October to December 2022, to assist with both the nutrition and educational concerns of the Filipino youth

In addition to supporting Project Pearls programs, for each Legazy product you buy from us, we donate a portion of those sales to fund the school projects and scholarships that Project Pearls spearheads. Because also of everyone that has been with Legazy® for years, we’ve managed to finance the schooling of Project Pearls scholars for each academic year.
